Life Sciences – a key field of knowledge in the 21st century
Life Sciences and Facility Management are key fields of activity for the 21st century, demanding interdisciplinary thinking and action. In response to this challenge, the School of Life Sciences and Facility Management provides opportunities for networking – from biotechnological, chemical and food technology related issues to logistical, ecological and management aspects – and carries out complex projects using an interdisciplinary approach.
Infrastructure and human resources
Depending on the particular challenges of a project, researchers, research assistants and students from various disciplines work together in interdisciplinary teams. The ZHAW’s equipment and apparatus are state-of-the-art and allow professional processing of application oriented research and development projects. Modern laboratories as well as testing and production facilities provide a solid basis for this.
Cooperation with industry and business
At the interface between theory and practice, the Institutes work closely with industry and business. Expertise and infrastructure are made available in accordance to clients' needs.
